Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is the assistance in maintaining the electronic medical record, existing paper records, and overall organization of the nursing unit.

 

  • Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in maintaining the electronic and existing paper records
  • Assist the EHR Coordinator
  • Maintaining documents that are necessary for the facility nurses to have on hand
  • Maintaining the overall organization of the nursing unit by answering phones, taking messages; scheduling appointments for residents
  • Setting up transportation for appointments
  • Making additions to the CNA assignment sheets and on occasion making changes to unit schedules as required (such as charting schedules, weight schedules, etc.).

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Be a certified CNA in the State of Florida in good standing.
  • Have some working knowledge of Electronic Health Records and other nursing practices.
  • Knowledge on the use of personal computers, e-mail accounts, software programs such as Word and Excel  and minor office machines such as faxes and copiers.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience in Long-Term Care.
